Intro to Kink Parties
presented by Thymian
Everyone has to start somewhere, but knowing what is expected of you and what you expect from the experience can help you to enjoy your night. It can be challenging for any new person on the scene. Frank will be exploring what are the best ways to prepare for a munch or party, what considerations you should have, who you should attend with, or how to go it solo.
Munches are a great starting point and ongoing community get together where there is no active play present. They are usually held in pubs, with people chatting and making new connections. They facilitate open communication with people who are new, been in the scene for a while, and years.
A play party is a big step for someone to attend. This workshop will explore what are the different types of protocols for attending a party for the first time or a new party. Covering what to wear, what to bring, negotiating scenes, respectful voyeurism, whether to drink or be sober, and tips for getting the most out your night.
This workshop is a great opportunity for people at any stage in their kink journey to get a perspective on the scene from someone who has been a mentor and player for years.

Intro to Impact Play
presented by Thymian

If you’re new to impact play and considering taking one (or all) of the other impact play workshops on Spanking, Flogging or Paddles & Canes – this is the place to start!
One of the most prevalent plays at parties is impact. This is because of the range of experiences, toys, and methods that are widely available to people and because it can feel great and literally leave a lasting impression.
However, if you are new to receiving or delivering impact play, there are considerations that, if incorporated into your play, can make the experience intimate and bonding as well as fun and consensual.
Frank will explore negotiation, toy choices, areas to focus on or avoid, check-ins, warm-ups, varying your swing, cool downs, and holistic aftercare. Frank will also explore companion play, which complements the scene.
About Frank – Hi there, and welcome. I am Frank, and this is just a quick chat to say hello. My first ever event was Hellfire, so (so) many years ago! I’ve been involved in the Scene for over 30 odd years, both as a participant and organiser, everything from Mardi Gras parties, private events, Threshold, Hellfire, and several other venues and clubs. In that time I have learnt from some absolutely amazing people and I enjoy passing on those skills and bits of knowledge to others. The things I like the most are Impact Play, Predator Prey and Sensation play. Ask any question, if I don’t know the answer, I may know someone who does!
Better Bottoming
presented by Hawkesbery
Bottom, sub, slave, little…
Whatever you call it, the position is the same; the receiver of sensation, provider of service and the follower of rules. But how does one do this position justice; maintain self respect, keep physically and emotionally safe and have as much fun as humanly possible?
In this discussion workshop, we’re going to touch on as many aspects of this complicated (often minimised) role and discuss you how to do it better.
Understanding the role of the bottom will assist you to unlock the potential in yourself and your scenes.

Taking the Beast Out of Primal
presented by @jemnotjez & @bella__spins

With over a decade in training of martial arts and pro-wrestling, Jem will be sharing his knowledge on physical manipulation and body control in this workshop designed for hunter and prey alike.
‘Taking the Beast Out of Primal’ is a workshop specifically focused on the physical side of primal play, removing the animalistic nature of Primal Play to focus on how participants can fight and wrestle safely and with an understanding of how to physically control another body throughout a scene. With all participants getting involved and having a wrestle, this physical and engaging workshop will have everyone involved and rolling around together in an environment that is controlled and safe.
The workshop will also have a focus on the consent and negotiation practices around this type of play, and the language of how to communicate and navigate building a scene. As an extra layer, drills will also have a focus and application for real world self defence scenarios to apply for outside of play.
Workshop participants will also have the opportunity to join in on the new monthly Roll Play group! This is a new group that meets monthly on Mondays and is an open mat, wrestling jam for people to be able to join in and practice the skills learnt from the workshop in a safe and supervised environment.
So join Jem and his demo partner Isa (who has more black belts than he does) for this fun and physical workshop and get ready to roll.
